lets face it. computer games turned movies rarely ever accomplish anything.

the only exception being Resident Evil, the main reason being Milla Jovovich.

AVP2! is one the most brain-damaging movie i've caught in sometime, and i dare say, its so bad i dunno where to start from.

if you removed the fact that they actually put alot of effort into the special efforts and stuff, it would probably look like those one dime too many b-rated teenage flicks.

the year is ending!

as usual December's the month to throw all finance planning out the window. (only to regret and pick up the pieces in awhile)

some good food and some not too good food.

loads of good wine.

its been such a hectic period i barely remember what happened, but i guess it should be counted as a fun month?

the weekend's been fine i guess. meeting age old frens and knowing new ones.

though i guess something could had been done about the circumstances of the meeting.

sleep is a luxury.

working 8 days straight is one hell of a toll, especially when not everyone's exactly clever.

parties after parties were kinky stuff.

discounted jap buffets.

waived corkages.

hotel drunk nights.

in no particular order.

but the overall saving still hardly holds a candle to spendings.

but i guess for all that spending, the x'mas cards sure do make it worthwhile. it touches me that people actually bother to pick up a pen and write me a message.

my beloved w960 is finally out. pending some experimentation and a price reduction from SE, i'd trust i'll be changing my phone soon!

one more dinner(planned) to go. a couple inpromtus maybe.

my dear shrivelling wallet, do bear with me for awhile long.

oh boy, talk about doing good deeds!

i gave up my seat a la stylish to a fellow passenger today because i noticed she had problems keeping steady. no thanks to the clumsy bus driver.

and no, i wish to say that the fact that she

1. is one hot babe
2. has long, slender legs
3. smiles sweetly

has nothing to do with the fact i decided to give up my seat. none at all. =)

talk about good chance to get a name but the difference in height is like mount fuji and mount everest. so i saved myself the embarrassment.

ahhh selfless sacrifice without need of recognisation. i feel like a saint already, lol!

yawnnn

just when everyone thought i was only capable of ranting on and on about my pitiful working life

i decided to disappoint everyone again! (abeit the pathetically low amount of people who view this page anyway)

i guess i did promise to blog about my new toy, even though its like so wasted on a less-than-amateur like me.

but anywayyyy

for those who were wondering, yes! I've went and blow one grand on my new nikon d40x DSLR!

and just today a further 0.1 grand on a crumpler 4 million dollar series photo bag!

horrendous spending i know. makes it almost seem as though i'm taking home 4 grand doesn't it.

well, despite that blowing a hole in my savings, and consigning myself to bread and water for the next 3 months or so.

i'm satisfied. after all, whats life if you don't try your hand at everything? i mean, i don't wanna grow old and start thinking; 'darn, all my life and i've never taken a decent looking photo'

now ade is probably gonna come tell me its the photographer and not the camera.

BUT! using e d40x is seriously worlds apart.

having tried a couple of consumer cameras, i cannot believe the quality of a dslr.

especially considering all i have right now is some budget 18-55 lenses.

and my weekend was dampened by the fact arsenal managed to snatch a draw from what looked to me man utd's deserved win!

so much for the 'attacking football' they were supposed to be famous for. putting 2 man behind ronaldo and cutting off all supply to tevez is so 'bolton-ish'.

not to mention they barely tried to attack. or maybe they just got crushed before they could.
