temptation is setting in for a good camera.

the keyword is good, thus all the look good, aluminium/titanium/carbon fibre 10mega pix, x3 zoom consumer cameras are out.

DSLRs are out too. for 2 main reasons.

1. budget. your's truly does not belong to the class of people who was reported in Saturday today. those !@#%^&* that have starting pay upon graduation of 3k.

2. skills. or rather a lack of skills. being a male homo sapien, i dun exactly cam whore too much. or at all. thus the lack of photos EVER appearing in this blog. which leads to the conclusion i have barely even handled a camera in my life. sad isn't it.

but behold! the miracle that is the Sony H7 Cybershot.

8.1 mega pixels.
15x zoom.
1/4000 sec shutter speed.

and its rather within my budget! at $699!

considering i was considering a semi pro DSLR that would set me back a grand(or more, considering the lenses, flash and dry cabinet)

i need to stop indulging myself. good food(recently at Foster's) and my wishlist is easily hitting ten grand(excluding the cars)

henceforth i will concentrate on saving at least ten grand per year. which will subsequently be used to invest.

As one of my 'now rich, last time SAF officer' customer said:

'to get rich, just remember this few things. 1. never spend more than you earn, so no credit cards. 2. invest in something you will never lose money. and most importantly, 3. remember rule no1.'
